The Community Connector Program helps youth build experience in community outreach while supporting local connections, learning, and climate resilience work. Through the program, participants explore their communities, listen to local concerns and strengths, and take on their own community outreach project with guidance from Sprout.
This program is about helping people connect, learn, and take action at the community level. We work with youth who want to better understand their neighbourhoods, support local initiatives, and build the confidence to do meaningful outreach that can help communities thrive.
What participants do
Participants in the Community Connector Program can:
- Learn about community outreach through hands on experience.
- Build connections with local residents, leaders, and community spaces.
- Explore what their community needs, values, and is already doing well.
- Support storytelling, local knowledge sharing, and relationship building.
- Create their own community outreach project with support and guidance from Sprout.
Why it matters
Sprout’s work is grounded in the idea that the people closest to community challenges are also closest to the solutions. The Community Connector Program helps create space for local knowledge, trust building, and stronger connections between people, organizations, and climate resilience efforts already happening on the ground.

- Youth (15-35) who want hands on experience in community outreach.
